close-ups (Delphian Records) is an inventive, virtuosic and powerful programme for voice and strings, featuring new works by Werner along with music by outstanding women composers across the centuries, from Hildegard von Bingen and Barbara Strozzi to Errollyn Wallen.

Punctuated by improvised instrumental works full of colour and imagination, this performance of close-ups promises an abundance of musical surprises and a showcase of some of the most exciting string players currently working in the UK and internationally. A not-to-be-missed launch from a star on the rise.
