Vingt Regards sur l'enfant Jésus is one of the greatest piano compositions of the 20th century: encounter an astonishing tour-de-force.

Olivier Messiaen expressed his devout Catholic faith through music that is meditative yet texturally and rhythmically complex.

One of the most deeply spiritual of all his compositions, Vingt Regards sur l'enfant Jésus is a monumental piano work that has been recorded to critical acclaim by Steven Osborne, whose insightful interpretations of a wide range of repertoire show immense musical depth.

Its title translates as 20 Contemplations on the Infant Jesus; this grand-scale cycle requires insight and virtuosity - not to say stamina - from the performer.

Three main themes thread through the 20 pieces, giving them a unity that creates a deeply satisfying musical experience.
