Patricia Kopatchinskaja plays Shostakovich

Violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja has built a reputation for performances that are bold, imaginative and completely individual. She's a natural fit for Shostakovich's First Violin Concerto, a gripping post-war work that balances moments of haunting stillness with bursts of extraordinary power.
