About this event

The Music

Mozart’s final piano concerto, completed the year of his death in 1791, has an air of autumnal serenity, while Brahms’ sublime 1869 Requiem, setting verses from the Lutheran Bible, features music of gentle powerThe fifth-movement soprano solo is surely one of Brahms’ most inspired moments.

The Performers

Dame Imogen Cooper has been known for her virtuosic, lyrical interpretations of Mozart’s music throughout her illustrious performing career. Don’t miss the chance to catch this supreme poet of the piano.

US conductor Manfred Honeck leads the LSO and Chorus, and star soloists Chen Reiss and Gerald Finley in what promises to be profoundly affecting Brahms.
